Marie-Claude approche le travail photographique avec un oeil amusé, une intense curiosité, une empathie spontanée pour ses sujets, un certain ludisme et un subtil sens de l’humour. Elle aime par-dessus tout braquer sa caméra sur ses semblables et saisir sur le capteur numérique tout à la fois leur côté insolite, touchant, choquant, vulnérable, héroïque, unique ; humain.
Ayant étudié et fait ses premières armes en photo en plein milieu de la dite révolution numérique, elle s’y trouve parfaitement à son aise et sait mettre à profit les diverses avancées technologiques dans le domaine du traitement de l’image, elle qui est entrée dans le travail à la pige d’abord comme artiste retoucheuse et spécialiste en montages numériques complexes.
Marie-Claude contribue à l’environnement créatif et visuel de Montréal depuis 2003. Ses images se démarquent par leur théâtralité, leur aspect narratif, une attention particulière portée aux lieux et leurs ambiances, ainsi qu’une utilisation poétique et expressive de la couleur.
